Multi-Family
Multi-Family Concept Stott’s Mill
This concept for an eight-unit apartment building starts from a site-response to the agrarian nature of this site. We decided that crafting a typical condo building on this site would tilt the area towards a suburban vibe, and we aimed to protect and honor the way this site sits currently among protected open fields. Our response was to create a building that feels appropriate for a large structure in an open agricultural field, so we started with a simple agricultural architype and modernized it for a multi-family response. The effect is intended to be timeless and site-appropriate housing that would be loved by the new residents as well as the people who live in the surrounding area today.
