Residence on the Roaring Fork River

This riverside residence combines a minimalist modern aesthetic with a LEED Platinum environmental standard, while satisfying the traditional aesthetic of the neighborhood design committee.

The curved footprint mirrors the bend in the river capturing the sound of the water. The design cups the early morning light and amplifies the sound of the rushing river.

Floor to ceiling and corner to corner windows allow unrestricted views. Glulam beams and a bold fireplace demark intersecting planes above the dining room. The gallery flows the length of the house, circulating the light and sound of the river. Independent boxes beneath the sculptural ceiling contain kitchen, closets and the powder room.
